AMD Announces The RX6800,RX6800XT And The Big Navi RX6090XT

Big Navi RX6900XT Is here with reasonable price comparing to RTX 3090

AMD finally launched its RDNA 2 powered Radeon RX 6000 series, which competes fiercely with NVIDIA’s high-end RTX 3000 series. First, we have the Radeon RX 6800 XT, which has 72 CUs and 16GB of GDDR6 memory and 256 bits, and is waiting for a 128MB infinite cache.
I didn’t expect to see a 128 MB cache in the GPU. It seems that RedGamingTech is right after all.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Specs

AMD shared some first-party gaming benchmarks, comparing the RX 6800XT with the 4K and 1440p NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. AMD Radeon RX 6800XT has 72 computing units, 2015Mhz game clock, 2250Mhz enhanced clock and 128MB Infinity cache. It also comes with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which requires a total power of 300W. The price of this GPU is 649 dollars, will go on the market on November 18.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 Specs

The RX 6800 XT is a competitor to the RTX 3080, and the price is slightly lower, but AMD does not stop there. Big Navi or Navi 21 is the core GPU of the 6800 XT, and a slightly reduced version will also be used to reduce XT. Radeon RX 6800 has the same effect on Navi 21 as RX 5700 has on Navi 10: fewer cores, lower clock, but still has a lot of performance. Oh, and its price will be lower—to be exact, $70 less. The RX 6800 starts at $579.

Most of the core functions are similar. The RX 6800 only has 72 CU and 4608 shader cores instead of 72 CU and 4608 shader cores. It also announced a clock speed of approximately 150-200 MHz, which enables theoretical calculation performance to reach 16.2 TFLOPS. However, it still contains a complete 128MB Infinity cache and 16GB GDDR6, and the reduced number of clocks and cores gives it a 250W TBP. In short, RX 6800 will follow GeForce RTX3070. This will be an interesting game.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Specs and Performance (Big Navi)

AMD hopes to end its presentation will be a little surprised. In this case, since rumors and discussions about the RX 6900 XT have been going on for some time, this is not surprising. At least in the maximum configuration, Big Navi or Navi 21 has twice the number of CPUs than Navi 10. RX 6800 XT disables 8 CPUs to increase production or meet the required number of chips. RX 6800 will disable a quarter of the CU. But what about the RX 6900 XT?

The specifications of Radeon RX 6900 XT are almost the same as those of Radeon RX 6800 XT. Only this time there are 80 CPUs. This brings the theoretical calculation performance to 23 TFLOPS (peak). AMD did not say that there is any difference in the GDDR6 clock, and the TBP is still 300W, so basically, this is the best chip on each wafer, and it is perfect in the end. Perhaps only 5-10% of Navi 21 chips can meet the requirements of 6900 XT, 30-50% of chips can be used in RX 6800 XT, and most other chips can be used in RX 6800.

RX 6000 & Ray tracing ?

I admit that if you want to understand the performance of ray tracing, there is a lot of ambiguity because no performance data is provided. However, these GPUs will support it at the hardware level along with all the other features of DX12 Ultimate, such as grid shadows, sampler feedback, VRS and a form of upgrade called super-resolution.

Bottom line Nvidia Still has an Advantage of When it comes to ray tracing, specailly with the upcoming games for next month Like Watch dogs Legion And Bloodline 2 and Diying light without forgetting Cyberpunks 2077.Nivdia Still has partner ray traced games that will let its cards to performe slightley better than AMD.
